Extended Cookie Policy
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that the site you visit sends to your terminal, where they are stored, only to be sent back to the same site on your next visit.
Third-party cookies, on the other hand, are set by a third-party website other than the one you, as a user, are visiting.
It is specified, for your protection, that a cookie cannot retrieve any other data from the user’s hard drive, transmit viruses or acquire email addresses.
Types of cookies and function
Cookies are differentiated into two types: so-called “technical” cookies and “profiling” cookies.
The former are used to perform fast executions of computer authentications while maintaining user identification within the session, as well as to enable secure browsing. For these purposes, this type of cookie is not stored persistently on the user’s PC; rather, it vanishes when the browser is closed.
Based on the June 10, 2021 Data Protection Authority Guidelines, such cookies can be used without the consent of the data subject.
The latter, on the other hand, are used to track the user’s Web browsing and profile his or her tastes, habits and choices in order to propose targeted offers.
Based on the aforementioned measure and pursuant to Reg. EU 679/2016, the installation of such cookies can only take place if the user also gives consent following information about it, albeit expressed in a simplified manner.
